Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Which kit do I need for my particular sprayer?
A: All kits are custom built for individual sprayers.

Q: What is the cost of the foam?
A: Cost per acre depends on the operator, as 100% controlled by the operator.  The average operator with an 80-ft sprayer can get between 500 and 800 acres per 30-liter tank.

Q: How does it work?
A: The cylinders are pre-charged with compressed gas that propels the foam to the end of the boom.  The kit has a dispenser on both sides that is controlled from the cab.  The foam mark length and distance between marks are controlled from the cab.  The system also has an override button on the timer box.  This button enables the operator to instantly drop a foam mark at any time during the cycle without interrupting the timing.  The system does not use pumps or compressors.  It is virtually trouble free.

Q: How do I winterize my kit?
A: All that needs to be done is close four valves.  Remove the tank, and store in cold storage.  There is no need to protect it from freezing.
Q: How long will it take for delivery of the kit?
A: Each kit is custom made for the customer when it is ordered and generally shipped within 24 hours.

Q: How do I change tanks?
A: Close tank valve.  Close valve on outlet side of filter.  This isolates the filter from the rest of the kit and allows the operator to release the pressure by opening the valve on the drain hose.  This also back flushes the filter screen, thus avoiding a need to ever open the filter assembly for cleaning.  Once the pressure is released, you can remove the fitting from the tank.

Q: How long does the foam last in the field?
A: Depending on the temperature and the wind, the foam can last from 2 to 8 hours or more.  The Peacock Foam is very sticky and biodegradable.

Q: Can it be colored?
A: Yes, dye is available in red and blue.  A dye injection kit is an option and can be used on the farm.

Q: What is the available warranty?
A: All parts have a two-year warranty from date of purchase.

Q: How long does it take to install the kit?
A: 2 - 3 hours
